From food drives to volunteering at shelters to tutoring kids, our team has been committed to making a difference in their neighborhoods.
In 2009, we identified a non-profit organization that our entire network wanted to support. In fact, our owners could not have been more eager to team up with such a meaningful endeavor.
Dress For Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with:
- Professional attire
- A vibrant support network
- Career development tools that help them thrive in work and life
Our 1-800-DryClean franchisees take a critical and natural role in major fundraising events for the organization. When a corporation holds an office clothes drive, 1-800-DryClean serves as the transportation team, collecting donated clothing from the fundraising office and dropping it off at the local Dress For Success location.
Showing their unwavering commitment, many owners have also taken the initiative to begin their own donation program. Periodically, they collect gently used career apparel from customers and deliver it to Dress For Success.
To date, Dress For Success has assisted more than 500,000 women with their goal to become completely self-sufficient. Because we have 100+ affiliates nationwide, we are able to pair every participating 1-800-DryClean owner with a Dress For Success office that is within 50 miles of their home locations.

Millions of Americans suffer from hunger. Each year emergency food banks assist more than 3.5 million Americans with access to healthy, nutritious food. 1-800-DryClean has joined the fight.
We began the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” food donation campaign in 2008. Much like dry cleaning delivery services, customers do not need to be home to participate. On the designated donation day, our drivers simply pick up food in addition to laundry. Customers leave non-perishable food items in a bag marked clearly with “1-800-DryClean” in the same designated pickup spot where they leave their dry cleaning. We then transfer those donations to a local food bank, free to the customer and the charity.
